Join more than 300 people to talk about ways you can team up to make our city an even better place to live, work, and play!

Neighbor Power! A gathering to inspire greater Indy neighborhoods is for everyone interested in making Indianapolis a more vibrant and successful city. This is the place for current and future community leaders—residents, neighborhood associations, business owners, representatives of local nonprofits, corporate and philanthropic partners, government officials, and you!—who are excited about being part of creating a brighter future for their neighborhoods.

The gathering will include former NBA star and community advocate Kevin Johnson (click here for bio)—now the mayor of Sacramento. You'll also enjoy twelve customized workshops (click here for a complete list) brought to you by local folks who will share the lessons they learned and ask you to join in the discussion to exchange ideas with other neighbors from across the city. You'll be part of the agenda! Topics will include abandoned homes, youth engagement, neighborhood events and many more. The day will include a session to brainstorm “what’s next” in your neighborhood and for our city as a whole. The gathering will conclude with a networking reception so you can socialize and discuss what you learned.

Neighbor Power! Awards
There’s a whole lot of great work going on in Indy’s neighborhoods. And now some of the best of the best will get the recognition they deserve—thanks to an all-new Neighbor Power! awards program on October 16. This awards program will bring together new and existing awards sponsored by a number of neighborhood partners: Indianapolis Coalition for Neighborhood Development, Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center, and Keep Indianapolis Beautiful. The awards program will showcase some of the great things we're already accomplishing—and you're invited to join us.

We’re excited to announce that Neighbor Power! is a green conference. So you’ll likely notice that we’re avoiding waste whenever possible by using recycled paper, limiting our number of handouts, and serving local food on real plates.
