7: Safety
In healthy neighborhoods, police and citizens partner together to create a safe, crime-free environment. Healthy neighborhoods create safe and nurturing venues for children.

QUESTION - How can we reduce crime and improve safety in our neighborhood?
ANSWER - Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD)
CrimeView Community provides access to law enforcement incident case report information. Reports are based on preliminary information supplied to IPD and the Sheriff's Department. Information about incidents occurring in Beech Grove, Speedway, Lawrence, and Southport are not included on this site. For information about these areas, contact the police agency for that city. Visit CrimeView Community at http://imaps.indygov.org/cvc/.

CrimeWatch is a self-help cooperative effort to reduce crime and the fear of crime in neighborhoods. Participants learn crime prevention techniques that can help lower their risk of becoming victims. A proactive approach against crime is taken through communication and cooperation of citizens, law enforcement, and local government.
