Community Development Summit |
Nearly 400 people attended the first-ever Indianapolis
Community Development Summit on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at the Indiana
Government Center. Mayor Bart Peterson and neighborhood leaders from
throughout the city joined forces for a five-hour discussion about
healthy communities, the barriers to neighborhood health, and strategies
to improve Indianapolis communities.
The Community Development Summit was convened in partnership with the
Indianapolis Coalition for Neighborhood Development to engage people
from across the city in a dialogue that will yield a vision of safe,
healthy, and vibrant communities in which to live and work.
