Key Stakeholder Focus Groups |
In August 2004, in preparation for the Summit, consultants were engaged
to conduct focus groups with key stakeholders, including residents,
philanthropic organizations, neighborhood organizations, and businesses.
The purpose was to exchange ideas about what constitutes healthy
neighborhoods and how we can work better together to assist individual
communities to this end.
One hundred fifty-one people participated in a dialogue about their
neighborhoods. The diversity of perspectives shared in the focus groups
was invaluable and truly reflected the great character of our community.
The findings from the focus groups were used as the basis for the
community-wide discussions that took place at the Summit on October 9th.
